Accommodation and Fees

Accomodation: Bed and Breakfast accommodation has been arranged for the nights of 14th, 15th and 16th of July, in single ensuite rooms at a rate of £45 per night. The rooms are in the university's Highfield Halls just around the corner from the conference location at Avenue Campus. Reception in halls will be open 24 hours.

The LMS meeting on 15th July is funded by the LMS and this will include lunch and coffee. It would help with catering if you could let us know if you plan to attend.

Conference dinner: There will be a conference dinner on the evening of the 15th July. This will cost £20 per person.

Restaurants near Avenue Campus: There are various restaurants on Portswood road, about 10 minutes walk from Highfield Hall. The most popular are the Koh-I-Noor and Sara's Thai Cusine. If you prefer pub-food, the Crown Inn is about 5 minutes walk or the Cowherds Inn is a 10 minute walk through the common.

Workshop Fees: In addition to any accomodation fees there is a day-charge of £30 per day for the two-day workshop on the 16th and 17th July, which covers lunch and refreshments. We hope to be able to reimburse some student expenses.

Getting there

There is a bus from Southampton's two main train stations and the airport. From Southampton Airport/Parkway (Platform 2 exit) take the U1C to Highfield Interchange and from Southampton Central (Platform 4 exit) take the U1A to Highfield Interchange.
